Regular meter readings help ensure you're billed only for the actual amount of gas you've used, and that your equipment is working properly.
We read your meter at approximately the same time every month. The most recent and previous reading dates appear in the 13 Month Usage History section of your bill.
Unexpected weather conditions or changes in your household can affect your actual gas consumption. If your meter is inaccessible, we may estimate your meter reading. You could see a large billing adjustment when we do get an actual reading.
Once a year, we have a shared responsibility to obtain an actual meter reading - even if you regularly report your own readings.
If you're due for an actual meter reading, a message will appear in the Account Summary on your bill. Avoid the risk of a billing adjustment or possible shut-off, call Customer Service at 1-800-344-4077 to make arrangements for us to get access to your meter.
