Landlords
or authorized agents may choose to place service in their name when a tenant
moves so that natural gas is available to appliances during the time the
property is vacant. This could be especially important to prevent pipes and water
lines from freezing if no one is living in the unit during the winter. However,
the landlord or agent may also request that service be disconnected.
For
tenant privacy, we can only verify whether natural gas service is on in a
particular tenant’s name, without divulging the name. However, the
landlord or tenant may provide or request the following information:
·Provide payment confirmation receipt number
·Submit meter readings
·Provide emergency order information
·Request consultation on repairs
·Schedule restoration of service after it’s
been turned off for leakage
·Determine Budget payment amounts
·Receive consumption history
·Inquire about a security deposit amount
·Request degree day/base load information
·Ask for gas leak inspection
·Request a copy of a completed service order
·Submit a Medical Certification form
