date of termination, we cannot guarantee your service will not be shut off.

Step 1: Choose one of the fast ways to pay

by credit/debit card or electronic
check from their Web site. Paymentus also accepts payments by
phone at 1-855-763-6277 credit/debit or check. Note: Paymentus charges a convenience fee for each transaction.

Apply for a credit agreement
If eligible, a credit agreement allows you to make an initial payment within four days of the agreement, then spread the remaining unpaid balance over three months, plus current bills as they are due. Although you may select the amount of the initial payment, it may not be less than a designated amount. You may choose to pay the remaining unpaid balance in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly installments. For monthly installments, you may select a due date each month. Be aware though, for due dates that fall on weekends or holidays, we must receive the installment by the business day before the actual due date. Click here to apply for a credit agreement.
Late Charges: Your payment is credited to your account
on the date NIPSCO receives the payment. If payment is not received by the
due date of your current bill, a late payment charge will be added to your
Step 2: If you pay online with our free
one-time payment service, the system will automatically note a payment confirmation
number on your account. There’s no need to report the confirmation number
again, either online or by phone.
If you use one of the other payment methods, call
NIPSCO DirectLink at 1-800-464-7726 to report the receipt or payment confirmation
number. Payments must be reported by 10:00 p.m on the day before the scheduled
termination date to avoid shut-off. When you call, follow these steps to report
the payment confirmation number:
- Select option 1 on the NIPSCO DirectLink automated
phone system for billing and payment information, then
- Select option 1 from the next menu to enter a payment
