If you are moving out and wish to have gas service disconnected
at your address, please call Columbia Gas DirectLink at 1-888-460-4332. We cannot
guarantee requests to discontinue service for a day that is less than a week
(5 business days) in the future.
Be sure to have the following information handy:
Your account number
Your current service address (the one you're
moving out of)
Your home phone number
Your new mailing address (that you're moving
If you rent, the name, address and phone
number of the property owner
The date you want your service terminated
Access arrangements if your meter is located inside the property
To transfer natural gas service to the person moving into your
previous home, you and the new resident may want to agree on a date for the
transfer of service. Once the date of transfer has been determined, please ask
the person moving in to contact Columbia Gas DirectLink at 1-888-460-4332 about
having the service placed in his or her name. You will continue to be billed
for all gas usage until the date the connecting party schedules a service transfer.
