Please allow at least two weeks
prior to your requested connection date. If you need service established sooner,
call Columbia Gas DirectLink at 1-800-543-8911 and press option 3 from the automated
self-service main menu. If gas is currently off at the location, access will
be required. You should have someone available at the address during the day
of your service request.
We may require a security deposit depending on a customer's credit
record. The deposit is security that your final bill will be paid and cannot
be used to pay current or delinquent bills. The deposit is based on the two
highest months of consumption within the last year of service to that address.
If a good payment record is maintained for one year, the full deposit, plus
interest set at a rate by the Virginia State Corporation Commission, will be
credited to your account.
If you previously had service with Columbia Gas, be sure to provide
us with your former address and account number.
A minimal fee is charged to establish a new account or to transfer
an account to a new address.
