If you're preparing for a move, call Columbia Gas DirectLink at
800-432-9345 and press option 3 from the automated self-service menu, preferably
48 hours prior to your move-in date. If gas is currently off at the location
you're moving to, access will be required. You should have someone available
at the address during the day that service will be initiated.
We may require a security deposit depending on a customer's credit
record. The deposit is security that your final bill will be paid and cannot
be used to pay current or delinquent bills. The deposit is based on the two
highest months of consumption within the last year of service to that address.
If a good payment record is maintained for one year, the full deposit, plus
interest set at a rate by the Kentucky Public Service Commission, will be credited
to your account.
