Landlord/Tenant Agreements

A landlord/tenant relationship may be set up between landlords and their rental property to automatically transfer service into the landlord's name when a tenant requests termination. Note that the relationship does not apply if the tenant is subject to termination for non-payment.

The landlord's account(s) must be current to be eligible for a landlord/tenant agreement.

How to request a landlord/tenant agreement

To request a landlord/tenant agreement or add another property to an existing agreement, call us at 1-800-882-5454 to determine eligibility over the phone. Requests must be submitted in writing by fax to 1-866-234-2894 to the attention of the Customer Service Representative you spoke with, or mailed in the name of that Customer Service Representative, Columbia Gas of Massachusetts, P.O. How to cancel a landlord/tenant agreement

To cancel a landlord/tenant agreement, the landlord must submit the request in writing in advance of the requested effective date. We will place an order to discontinue service on any account covered by the agreement unless the landlord requests that service should be left on.
